Established in 2024 by Chan Kai Him, a Huqin artist and conductor raised and born in Hong Kong. Inspired by the spirit of craftsmanship, we are committed to delivering a unique music-making approach and promoting Chinese music ranging from classics to contemporary repertoire to captivate audiences. We aim to promote music education and strive to cultivate artists with passion and professionalism. Our artists undergo rigorous training in Hong Kong under the tutelage of world-renowned artists in their respective fields.

About Our Founder
My name is Chan Kai Him
Conductor and Huqin artist born and raised in Hong Kong. He is now a Chinese orchestra conductor and Huqin instructor in various Local Primary and Secondary Schools, Concertmaster of the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble, freelance musician of the Macau Chinese Orchestra, Huqin Performer of the Hong Kong Bauhinia Chinese Orchestra and part-time Huqin performer at the Music Office, LCSD.
He held a Bachelor of Music degree with first-class honors from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) in 2016, with a double major in Erhu and Gaohu under the tutelage of Wong On-yuen and Yu Qiwei. He also benefited from the coaching of many virtuosi such as Xiao Baiyong, Liu Yang, Jiang Cairu, Tian Zaili, and Xue Ke. In 2018, he further obtained a Master of Music degree with distinction from the HKAPA, majoring in Gaohu under the tutelage of Yu Qiwei. In 2023, He was also a visiting student at the HKAPA majoring in Chinese Conducting with Chew Hee Chiat. In 2024, he is again admitted to the Master of Music Programme from the HKAPA majoring in Conducting. During his studies, he attended “the Conducting Master Class” co-organised by the HKAPA and HKCO numerous times. He was also the recipient of several scholarships for his outstanding performance, including the HSBC HKAPA China Study Programme Scholarship (2013-15), the SAPA Scholarships (2014-15), the Dr. George and Maisie Choa Charitable Foundation Scholarship (2014), Spring-Time Stage Productions Scholarship (2015) and Cecil Leung Scholarship (2016).
Chan is an active figure on the concert stage, performing countless times as a soloist and lead player, and has held Huqin solo recitals. In 2015, Chan was selected as one of the “Young Music Makers” by Radio Television Hong Kong. In the same year, he won a silver prize at the International Youth Erhu Competition (Hong Kong) - Youth Professionals Group. In 2015, Chan was awarded the First Runner-up (with no First Place) in the OSAKA International Music Competition, Hong Kong Round. In 2017, Chan won the Bronze Award in the 2017 Cantonese music competition - Professionals Group. He has also been a freelance musician in the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. He has also represented the HKAPA and several music institutions to go on tour for artistic exchanges and performances in Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Hungary, Ireland, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and the Mainland, etc.
